Meaning birch forest by the water in Norwegian, Bjorklunden vid Sjon is a 425-acre estate bequeathed to Lawrence University by Donald and Winifred Boynton in 1963. Bjorklunden lodge is a two-story facility on the estate hosting seminars, meetings and some musical performances which are open to the public. The gardens also serve as the primary performance space of the Door Shakespeare company.
